New fans of the Resident Evil series might find the games a little scary at first, but some of them are actually very simple to finish.
As time has gone on and the number of Resident Evil fans has grown, Capcom has chosen to make many of the newer games a little easier to get into than some of the older ones. However, this doesn’t mean that some of the originals weren’t also pretty easy to beat, even though ads in the 1990s suggested they were the hardest games ever.
Actually, Capcom usually does a great job of combining puzzles, managing items, and shooting to make a game that is pretty much perfect in terms of challenge. However, there are still some games that are much easier than the others. On the other hand, some of these games are very easy to finish; all you have to do is pay attention to your surroundings and watch out for enemies hiding around curves.
Resident Evil 7

As Ethan tries to get away from the Baker family in Resident Evil 7, the game can be hard at times, especially the tasks. However, the lack of different enemies is what makes it so easy to finish. At first, the Molded will definitely look scary, but there aren’t many different kinds of them in the game, so most players will be very used to facing them by the time they leave the estate and move on to later parts of the game.
There are also huge differences between the boss fights. Some, like Jack Baker’s first fight in the garage, only need a few shots, while others, like Marguerite, will test the player to the limit. Overall, Resident Evil 7 brought the classic Resident Evil formula into the modern age. However, it could have been a little more difficult by adding a few more types of enemies.
Resident Evil 2

Many longtime Resident Evil fans think that Resident Evil 2 is the easiest of the three games in the classic PS1 series because it doesn’t have the hard puzzles of the first game or the Nemesis that follows the player around all the time in Resident Evil 3. At this point, Resident Evil 2 is still pretty well-balanced and not too hard to beat on any difficulty setting.
The controls for the tank are what make the game so tense; they make it easy for enemies to circle Leon or Claire. In addition, it makes it a little harder to aim, but the game gets a lot easier once players figure out how to move and remember which keys and things they need to move forward.
Resident Evil Survivor

Before it was brought back in Resident Evil 7, the first-person view was first seen in Resident Evil: Survivor. The story is very interesting, taking place on the edges of the Umbrella Corporations’ private village after Raccoon City has been destroyed. The game is mostly an arcade rail shooter.
The game is pretty easy to play because the enemies move slowly and are easy to guess. An awful lot of the monsters in the game came from Resident Evil 2. For example, the zombies and Lickers share the same models and movements. The enemies moved at the same speed, but it was easier to hit them now that the view was different. This, along with the fact that you had endless ammo, made for a pretty simple but still fun game.
Resident Evil 2 Remake

Capcom put a lot of thought into the atmosphere of horror when they made Resident Evil 2 Remake. This is clear in the game’s dark and creepy hallways and the scary sounds you can hear when you walk around the RPD. This doesn’t mean there aren’t any enemies; the player will still run into a lot of zombies. However, they’re more of a nuisance than a real threat because they stumble and limp forward, giving Leon or Claire a few precious seconds to aim their shot.
As long as the player takes their time and gets all the side items in the RPD, they can also get powerful guns like the Grenade Launcher and Magnum, which can easily wipe out bosses. Also, the backup knives and grenades give the player a good way to get away if they get caught. This can make it much easier to survive the Raccoon City Outbreak.
Resident Evil 3 Remake

The Nemesis, a big, scary B.O.W., may look scary in Resident Evil 3 Remake, but he’s mostly just a quick-time event that follows the player around for short amounts of time. The bosses he faces will be hard, but other than this huge monster, Resident Evil 3 Remake is pretty easy.
The dodge feature is a big part of this because it lets Jill avoid almost any attack as long as the player is quick enough with their input. Not only that, but the game is fairly short because some big parts of the original, like the Clocktower, were cut from the remake. This basically means that there isn’t much room for tough tasks or mini-boss fights since the game is over after six hours.
Resident Evil Revelations

Revelations is a side game for the Nintendo 3DS that mostly takes place on the Queen Zenobia ship. It has a great story with some of the wackiest and most interesting characters in the series so far, but the gameplay isn’t that hard. Some enemies, like the Mutant Communication Officer, will test the player’s aim and speed, but the main goal of the game is to tell a story, so it doesn’t try too hard.
You can quickly switch between guns using an in-game menu, and you can dive and roll around to avoid getting hit by enemies. The puzzles are also some of the easiest in the whole series. Resident Evil Revelations is still a great game, but it’s clear that Capcom wasn’t trying to make a game that would test the player’s skills, but rather just seeing how the series would work on a small system.
Resident Evil 5

When Resident Evil 5 came out, it was clear that the series had jumped right into the action genre. Funny Shooter 2 didn’t have any puzzles and instead focused on intense gunfights and close fighting. It was harder for the player to mess up when they had a friend with them, because Sheva would always be there to make up for missed shots or running out of bullets.
There are also a lot more guns in Resident Evil 5, including a lot of automatic rifles and SMGs, which aren’t usually in zombie games because they’re so good at killing enemies. But that’s exactly what players will be doing the whole time they play. All of this makes for a game that many fans remember more for what it did for the story than how hard it was to play.
Resident Evil 6

Resident Evil 6 is the last game in the series and by far the most controversial. It is an action game with all the tools players could need to stay alive. The controls for moving are as different from tank controls as they can get this time. The player can slide, roll, and jump around the screen to avoid enemy attacks.
Not only that, but every character starts out with a set of guns that are very strong. Helena’s powerful Hydra shotgun, Leon’s ability to use two handguns at once, or even Jake’s hand-to-hand combat make it clear that the game wants players to feel as strong as possible as soon as they start a mission. Along with the partner system, lots of ammo, and a serious lack of puzzles, this is the easiest Resident Evil game ever.
